My colleagues and I eat lunch here once a week. The service is fast and friendly and they seem to know what we want to order. Low priced lunch specials are a great thing, and they have higher end sushi as well.

Love this restaurant overlooking the ocean. Eat outside to watch the boats, dolphins, etc. Good food and very friendly staff.

Sushi is ok, depends on which day of the week you come here. Unfortunately, the service could be a little faster. We were waiting for about 15 min until server asked us what we would like to drink in our first round. Otherwise, they have stunning views of the Pacific ocean, which is the main reason why we go there.

This has been my sushi go to place since 2011. It’s soo delicious: the tempura udon, the sushi rolls, and miso soup. Trust, you won’t be disappointed. And to top it off the view is amazing. I would recommend going early or afternoon TO ENJOY THE SCENARY. By the evening it gets too chilly and cloudy.

Pretty good food, the view makes it better

My Daughter and I come here all the time. Amazing staff and delicious food. The view is breath taking. The staff there goes out of their way to make the dinning or ordering out a great experience.

Been here at least 50 times over the years and have never had anything close to a bad experience. Food, service, people, atmosphere, ownership, etc. are all wonderful. You're the best Nena!!

Asaka has an excellent view of Catalina from inside the restaurant and from their spacious deck. They have a nice variety of Japanese food on their menu and a sake menu. I had mango mochi for dessert. The whole experience was very nice.

Great sushi! Shared three roles between two people and felt they were good portions and fresh fish. Miso soup was amazing and the staff was super friendly.

Gross food, expensive, bad service. It’s within walking distance of my house, that’s the only plus. Each time I come here, I say never again. So never again.

During Covid 19, any place that serve food outside deserves gratitude. Simple place with ocean view. Our food was good. We had fashion roll, super philly and Tonkatsu chashu along with hot sake (buy one ger one for free). Meat in Tonkatsu chashu was chewy, that's the only downfall. We live in a neighborhood so we come here once in a while.

Food is pretty good and our server was super friendly and helpful. If the sun is shining at all, you need to ask for a seat outside....you can't ask for a better view with your lunch.

I am a huge fan of this place. Full disclosure I have been coming to the PV location with my family for years. The staff is amazing, friendly, helpful, and attentive plus the prices are reasonable, and the view is pretty stellar.Located in Golden Cove on PV Dr West there is plenty of parking but it can get congested due to the Trader Joes and other restaurants and businesses in the center.There is indoor and outdoor seating with a great view of the ocean. When the weather gets cooler there is a large fire pit that keeps things toasty.The lunch specials are great and are served every day until 4:30 pm. You can get a Bento box with soup and white or brown rice or a Sushi combo with soup - all options under $16.On this trip, we ordered a bunch of specials: the Chefs sashimi combo, spicy tuna jalapenos, scallop roll, a rice-less designer roll, beer, and sake. The grand total was under $70. Not bad for 2 people.

The sushi is amazing, and the miso soup is better. The staff are always helpful and are there if you need a drink refill. 5/5 Recommended to anyone who wants some sushi but is in the Palos Verdes area which does not have much good Japanese food restaurants.

Good sushi, amazing views of the Pacific!

Stopped for a beer and a bite and to take in the excellent view from the patio. Started with cucumber salad and miso soup. Both were quite good. I don't know what my gf ordered for lunch, but it was some kind of tofu dish. She didn't care for it, and ordered tempura shrimp and veggies, which were delicious. I had the sushi and roll combo. It was very tasty. Add a couple Japanese beers and it made for great lunch stop.
